I graduated from Humble High School in 1988. I went to college on a tennis scholarship at Centenary College of Louisiana. I graduated in 1992.
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education grades K-8. I am G/T certified and ESL certified.
This is my first year at Kimmie Brown in kindergarten. I will be teaching Reading, Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Studies.
I have 27 years of experience in Humble ISD and Splendora ISD. I have taught grades Kindergarten, First, Third, Fourth and Fifth. I used to teach my stuffed animals as a young girl and naturally gravitated towards teaching. My parent were former teachers and they had a big impact on me when choosing my career.
I have one 17 year old teenager son who goes to Atascocita High School. He is a senior this year! He plays baseball for the high school and his schedule keep me pretty busy. I love horses, cows, dogs and cats. Currently, I have two personal cats and two rescue cats. Anyone want a cat?
I played tennis for many years in high school and earned an athletic tennis scholarship to college. I love riding horses, decorating my house and going to the movies. My son and I are movie enthusiasts. Most weekends, we are at Showbiz seeing on the edge of your seat action movies or chick flicks…...when I can convince my son to go to those. =)
