I have attended many professional development trainings through the course of my college and professional experiences from special education trainings on writing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities, Annual, Renewal, Dismissal (ARDs) simulations, Response to Intervention (RTI) trainings, Classroom management and procedures, T-TESS trainings (these are the guidelines by which teachers are appraised and they are so helpful as they offer insight to where we may need to improve our teaching to better help OUR children succeed), and lesson Planning and learning activities trainings.
This school year is my first year as a Dayton Bronco! I am currently a 5th grade math/science teacher!
I began my teaching career in Huntsville ISD (school year 2015-2016). Previous positions I held at Huntsville ISD where, Inclusion- Special Education Teacher (2015-2016) and Resource- Special Education Teacher (2016-2017).
Through my experiences working with students who have required extra help to become successful, it has allowed me to quickly identify my struggling students.
I have been married for 14 years and have three children. 1 girl and 2 boys! My “baby boy” is 9 years old and will be a 4th grader this year at KMB. We do not have any family pets because we all want something different!
I like to do crafts in my spare time. I do not really have a lot of spare time due to the nature of my work and the fact that I am wrapping up the last year of my Master’s degree but one of my loves is poetry! I love to read it and write it! I know what you are thinking…. Yes, I am a math and science teacher but I love all subjects including writing! I have written 4 children’s educational books that are on Amazon (under Teri Maready Clark) and my husband illustrated them. I will be keeping copies of them in my classroom for my students to see that their teacher is a “jack of all trades” and let it be the source that reminds them that they are capable of achieving MANY great things!
I believe it is important to explore many different things in life because we may uncover talents that we never knew we had! This is how I discovered my inner poet and writer!
Here are a few of my favorites:
My favorite color is purple!
My favorite drink is sweet tea and Snapple Apple!
I love collecting apple things (not real ones because they spoil)!
My favorite restaurants and types of food I like are: Subway, Tex-Mex, Texas Roadhouse, Olive Garden, and Chili’s!
My favorite place to visit is Amelia Island, Florida because my Dad lives there!
