I graduated from Coldspring High School in 1998 and then finished my Associate’s Degree from Columbia Basin College in 2000 while living in Washington State. I took many years off from college to stay home with my children. In 2013, I returned to college to complete my Bachelor’s Degree from Brigham Young University-Idaho, graduating in spring 2016.

I’ve been married to my sweetheart for almost 20 years. We have three children: Two teenage boys and a nine-year old daughter. Our oldest son is currently a Junior at Atascocita High School (AHS) in Humble ISD where he plays cello in the orchestra, serves on the yearbook staff, and has a very high regard for academics. Our middle son is a freshman and is a member of the AHS Military Band as a percussionist. Our daughter is a 4th grader at our hometown elementary school and enjoys gymnastics, playing piano, reading, and writing stories.
I’ve been playing piano since I was in kindergarten. As a teenager I took up organ playing. Since then, I’ve served as the church organist/pianist in every congregation I’ve been a member of. I have also enjoyed teaching piano lessons for the last ten years. That was my favorite past time but stopped teaching piano so I could teach in the public schools full time. Growing up on the banks of Lake Livingston allowed me to appreciate and love the outdoors! I particularly love summer trips to the northwest. My favorite trips have included camping/hiking in the Redwoods and in Yellowstone National Park. I also regularly volunteer with my local Cub Scout Pack and Troop where I serve as the Pack Cubmaster and Troop Secretary. I’ve been volunteering at the district level since 2008 as a trainer where I get to teach and train all our leaders and parents.
I particularly look forward to lazy evenings, watching movies, munching on popcorn and dunking oreos.
